Cuomo Launches Crackdown On Hate Crimes in NY

After recent reports of vandalism and graffiti, Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced a statewide crackdown on hate crimes with much of the focus on protecting students as well as a specialized police unit to help out with the effort.

According to a statement from his office, Cuomo said:

“New York is, and will always be, a place of acceptance, inclusion and a bastion of hope for all people… We will never allow fear and intolerance to tear at the fabric of who we are – New Yorkers are stronger than that, and we are better than that.”
